Superfood Smoothies

Superfood smoothies are the perfect addition to any training program, they can be made in no time for a quick breakfast on the go, enjoyed post workout or even as a healthy snack.

Below I have included three of my favourite superfood smoothies which will give you glowing skin, a tight, toned tummy and help you gain your summer bikini body in no time.

1. Goji Goodness

You will need:

  • 200ml almond milk
  • I serve of Skinny Protein (try vanilla)
  • 1 handfull of gogi berries (leave a few to sprinkle on top)
  • ½ banana
  • ½ cup frozen raspberries
  • Blend all with ice and enjoy!

Why I love this smoothie

Raspberries are packed full of anti-inflammatory phytonutrients to keep sensitive skin at bay.

Bananas are packed full of potassium, help aid in digestion and are also known to help improve your mood and pms symptoms.

Gojis are the most nutrient dense food on the planet! They have the highest protein content of any fruit, making them perfect for post workout.


2. Strawberry Choc superfood smoothie

You will need:

  • 1 cup of frozen strawberries
  • 1 serve of Skinny Protein (try chocolate flavor)
  • 200ml coconut water
  • 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of cacao nibs
  • Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!

Why I love this smoothie

This smoothie is packed with protein, which is essential for keeping you full and helping your muscles to repair- which means you will have more energy to exercise.

Cacao nibs are jam packed with antioxidants and magnesium, they are a perfect energy boost…great for early mornings or an afternoon boost.

Coconut water is great for the skin and can promote smoother, more youthful looking skin. It also can improve blood circulation, lower elevated blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes.


3. Cookie cacao nut crunch

You will need:

  • 200ml almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon organic peanut butter
  • ½ banana
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 serve of Skinny Protein (try cookies & cream)
  • Blend all ingredients and top with cacao nibs!

Why I love this smoothie

Cacao is packed full of magnesium which helps repair and relax muscles post workout (chocolate milk has been named one of the best recovery drinks- so this is like a healthy version)

Cacao gives you heaps of energy and can also boost your mood and promote a sense of well being due to the increased level of certain neurotransmitters and brain chemicals that are released when we experience deep feelings of love.

Peanut butter is packed full of good fats, just make sure you pick a brand with 100% peanuts, and will help you keep fuller for longer.

This is the ultimate “feel good” energy smoothie.
